Sunday living - material contrast

The mixture of styles and materials in this dining room are beautifully done. Look at the polished metal table top vs. the vintage wooden chairs around it. The white-tiled fireplace in contrast to the vintage dark-wooden cabinet on the other side of the room. I love it.

Sunday living - the art of mixing it up

The mix of traditional elements and modern clean lines, combined with warm materials and earthy colors choices give this room a stylish and cozy feel ... and I'm just in love with this Carmo sofa by Bo Concept.

mix the chairs

I'm all about mixing colors, styles and materials, especially around the table. Mix-matching chairs not only creates a cozy and unique atmosphere, it also gives the "get-together" area in your home a personal and dynamic touch. Why having to decide on one style, if you like so many?

live in, live out

I found this on Poppytalk today and couldn't resist. What a stylish and yet relaxing and welcoming color choice! I am in love with the exposed brick wall and the mix of leather couch, timber coffee table (Project 82) together with the pink chair (Koskela). The earthy tones - and thank you for not using white on white on white! - give the color elements a brilliant space to pop. I wouldn't know which view to enjoy first!

Let light in

This stunning corner unit apartment from Stockholm has all I dream about: turn of the century ceilings, fireplace, plenty of windows, light materials and so much space! I'm thrilled by the spots of color and the mix of art display and fun living.

Just ran into this little but so "wow" book rack design by Old And Cold on etsy. Great example of keeping things fresh! Brilliant Old And Cold! I'll have my eye on you.

a little bit more Piet please

after that brilliant coffee table I must share two more designs by Piet Hein Eek.

This wall design lets my theater heart beat a bit faster!

The baskets - created for a special collection for Fair Trade Originals - were designed by the Dutch designer and created out of scrap wood in collaboration with ceramic craftsmen at a small workshop in Vietnam. I firmly believe they would look stunning in my home!

coffee on scrap wood

I'm very much in love with this scrap wood coffee table by Piet Hein Eek. I can very well see this unique furniture in my living room and myself hugging it.

This interior design concept by Nema Workshop shows a different side of an espresso Cafe. It's out of the box, bold and simple, hence I love! Must visit D'espresso Cafe.

schubladen love

Franziska Wodicka, founder of schubLaden, is the artist behind these beautiful pieces. Based in Berlin, she reuses vintage drawers and turns them into unique furniture. I must say: I love!
